Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant Walnut Creek, Ca.

Mi Casa Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in all of the East Bay.  Whether it’s getting together  for happy hour or lunch with the girls, Mi Casa has the perfect dish to make your day.  It’s located on the corner of N. Broadway and Pine Street which is walking distance from a lot of businesses.  Whenever I’m getting my tires rotated or my oil changed across the street, it gives me an excuse to drop in and feast on authentic Mexican food.

The Shredded Beef Enchilads pictured above are to die for! Savory shreds of beef are rolled up in handmade tortillas and topped with your choice or red or green sauce. I never met a green verde sauce that I didn’t like, and  this one is no exception. This meal comes with a generous serving of refried beans, rice and salad.  You can share this meal with a date or eat half now and take the rest home for dinner.

The handmade corn Pupusas are come stuffed full of your choice of meats. I love to eat the pork ones, but you can get them with beef, beans or cheese as well. They come 3 to a plate with a serving of tangy cabbage slaw on the side.  Even though they serve them with a dipping sauce, they are simply delish all by themselves.

MiCasa offers outdoor seating on the patio or seating in the main dining room. The bar area is not very big, however you can order alcoholic drinks at your table, and the margaritas are HUGE!  Every Tuesday is Taco Tuesday and Mi Casa classic tacos are only $2! The waitstaff is very friendly and very attentive to every need that you may have.  The next time you find yourself in Walnut Creek and are looking for a great meal at a great price, drop in at Mi Casa and make yourself at home.
